

Angelo was born August 23, 1927 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Giuseppe and Marianna (Bevilacqua) Crapanzano. Angelo was a proud veteran serving in the US Army during WWII.
Angelo graduated from Cleveland State University as an Electronic Engineer. He worked 42 years on electronic systems for military and advanced commercial aircrafts at Goodyear Aerospace. He taught electronics at the Akron University Night School. Angelo retired in 1993 as the Manager of Electronic Research and Development Department. He held several patents in Aircraft Electronics including the Anti-lock braking system for aircrafts. During his retirement he became a painter and accomplished writer penning fifteen fictional novels.
Besides his parents, Angelo is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 70 years, Rose (Urbano) Crapanzano.
He is survived by his children, Gary (Debbie) Crapanzano, Teresa Crapanzano, Dan (Tammy) Crapanzano, Linda (Jim) Sedlacek; his sisters Mary, Catherine, and Stella; his grandchildren, Morgan (Hiep) Truong, Abigail Crapanzano, Gabriel Crapanzano, Colton (Ashley) Berry, Jacob Crapanzano, Danielle Sedlacek (Fiancee, Tyler Moore), and Christopher Sedlacek, great-grandchildren, Diem Truong, Quynh Truong, and Kylie Rose Berry, multiple nieces, nephews, cousins, and dearest neighbors and best friends of 49 years, Pat and Richard Stiff.
Angelo was a devoted member of West Hill Baptist Church. He was also a very giving person and he gave to over 40 different charities. He was a wonderful provider making sure his family was taken care of.
Friends may call 6-8PM Friday, February 7th at the Rose Hill Funeral Home, 3659 W. Market St. in Akron. The funeral service celebrating Angelo’s life will be 11AM Saturday at the funeral home with Pastor Aaron Varner, officiant.
