Barbara A. Spence (79) went home to be with the Lord on January 23, 2024. She was born in Akron, Ohio and was a lifelong resident of Kent, Ohio. She loved her family, her two children, her grandchildren, great grandchildren, friends and her sports teams! She loved watching her Indians, Browns, Bills, Chiefs and the Cowboys!
Preceded in death by her brother, Norman Schaber, her parents Ernest and Lillian (Wilson) Schaber, and her beloved son, Mark Spence. She is survived by her daughter, Robyn (Jeryl) Bartlett, granddaughters, Loryn (Matt) Furino, Dylan (Michele) Bartlett, Amber (Chad) Peterson, Mark Spence Jr. and great grandchildren, Kyleigh, Kennah, Ariah, Dominic, and Owen, as well as many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Special thank you to her sister-in-law, Lela Kruse, for all her support over the years for helping take care of her and loving her like her own sister.
Calling hours will take place at Rose Hill Funeral Home on Wednesday, January, 31, 2024 at 12pm with funeral services following at 1pm. Entombment at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes that money be donated to the ASPCA as she leaves behind her beloved companion, Lily, and had a huge heart for animals.
