Betty Hall Gates

at age 90 after a short illness. Betty was preceded in death by her husband George in 1984.

She is survived by her children, Sandi Arthur(J. Robert), Beverly Gates and son Jim(Pamela).

She also leaves 6 grand children Jennifer Fowler (John), Ryan Arthur (Beata), Erin Marriott(Kevin),

Cheryl Johnson, Alyssa Schreiber (David) and Kara Kirkpatrick (John). She was also blessed

with 7 great grand children, Elizabeth, Jessica and Samantha Fowler, Katelyn and Jackson

Schreiber, Nate Arthur, and Lila Kirkpatrick.

Betty was a member of Christ United Methodist Church of Akron and was a Sunday School

teacher for many years. She owned her own business in Summit Mall, worked at Lerner

Stores, Cedarwood Village, Kaufmann's and Macy's.

She also leaves an extended family of people for whom she provided safe haven, joy and

friendship ( you know who you are). Betty was always there for her family and friends at

any time for any reason. She patterned her life afer the Golden Rule. " Do unto others

as you would have them do unto you". She will be greatly missed by all who loved her.

The family will receive friend at the CATAVOLOS FUNERAL HOME 3653 W. Market

Street, Fairlawn Wednesday 6-7pm. Private family services will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers family requests memorial contributions may be made to One of a Kind

Pets Rescue 1929 W. Market, Akron, Ohio.
