Rev. Cang Dang

Rev. Cang Dang, age 87, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on August 23, 2023. Rev. Cang Dang was the beloved husband of Mrs. Duyen Nguyen for 61 years, a devoted father of thirteen children, a loving grandfather to thirty-four grandchildren, and a great grandfather to 3 great grandchildren. His top two priorities in life were serving God and spending time with family. Cang was an inspiration to others because of his kindness and caring spirit. He was dedicated to serving others and lived a life filled with laughter and love. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Cang will be remembered as a bright shining light in the communities and churches he served here and afar. His memory and legacy will live forever for those who have had the opportunity to know or work with him.

Lam Nguyen), Mrs. Phuc Dang-Le (husband, Diem Le), Mrs. Anh Dang (husband, Qui Tran), Mrs. Tan Dang-Lam (husband, Dr. Philip Lam), Mrs. Hien Dang (husband, Tuan Le); Mrs. Vinh Dang (husband, Lang Nguyen), Dr. Toan Dang-Nguyen (husband, Dr. Hoai-Nghia Nguyen), Dr. Thang Dang (wife, Holly Dang), Dr. Loi Dang-Nguyen (husband, Dr. Hoai-Tri Nguyen) and Dr. Huy Dang (wife, Stephanie Dang).

Grandchildren: Matthew Dang, Dr. James Dang, Dr. Nathan Dang, Jeremy Dang, Samuel Dang, Dr.Isaiah Dang, Dr.Joshua Dang, Dr. John Nguyen, Andrew Nguyen, Dr. Peter Nguyen, Daniel Le, Timothy Le, Tracy Le, Lyann Hua-Ong (husband, Brian), Benjamin Hua, Rachel Tran, Christina Lam, Cindy Lam-Holcomb (husband, Chris), Christopher Lam, Alexander Nguyen, Dr. Austin Nguyen, (wife, Dr. Kristen), Allie Nguyen, Jaden Nguyen, Faith Nguyen, Emma Dang, Sarah Dang, Hannah Dang, Leah Dang, Micah Dang, Tyler Nguyen, Lauren Nguyen, Caleb Dang, and Elijah Dang

Great grandchildren: Isabella Ong, Ashton Ong, and Grant Holcomb; many nephews and nieces.

Preceded in death by his parents, Ho Dang and Kien Phan, mother-in-law, Nho Nguyen Thi and father-in-law, Du Nguyen, his wife, Duyen Thi Ngoc Nguyen, his brothers, Phien Dang, Bon Dang, Duoc Dang, Loc Dang, and Rev. Tho Dang and sisters, Kien Dang and Tam Dang, son Hoa Dang, and grandson Zachary Nguyen

Calling hours (Friday, September 1 from 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM) and Funeral Service (Saturday, September 2, 2023, at 9:00 AM) will be held at the Memorial Chapel at 135 Fir Hill St, Akron, Ohio 44304.
