

Charlotte McDowell was born October 19, 1949, to the late Banks Sr and Juanita Johnson in Akron Ohio. Charlotte went to be with the Lord on April 14, 2025. At the age of 75.
Charlotte graduated from South High School in 1967. She met her late husband LaTeris McDowell when she was a teenager and married him in 1969. There union was for 52 years, They were blessed with two over the top daughters Terri & Jackie.
During Charlotte’s time with us she started her working career at Swenson’s then AGMC now (Cleveland Clinic) for 42 years and weekends at Copley Health Center. She took time to travel with her sister Maxine all over the East and West Coast. She enjoyed family weekend outings and time with friends, Charlotte had a deep passion for horses so much that she tattooed a horse head on her arm. She loved the Lord indicating that with a tattoo of a cross on her leg with her loved one’s names in it.
Charlotte was a strong encouraging outspoken loving Mother and will be truly missed, LOVE YOU MOM always your Baby Terri,
Charlotte is preceded in death by her Parents Banks & Juanita Johnson, her Husband LaTeris McDowell. Sisters: Jacqueline Strong & Beverly Hawthorne.
Her (Main man) Grandson LaTeris Austyn Cook.
Charlotte is survived by daughters Terri (Kalandra) McDowell & Jackie McDowell. Sister Maxine McCarroll, Brothers Banks Johnson Jr and Herbert Arnold (Johnnie) Johnson.
Grandkids Dallas Leon Cook III, Camille Charqualaf and Marcelius Snow.
Great grandkids all from the late (LaTeris Austyn Cook) LaTeris Jr.( Scrappy) , Royal, Braylen, Milik & Ice’ Lynn.
A special Thanks to my cousin Nita Bryant for taking time out and spending with my mom at her home. Love you Cuz
A forever Thanks to my wife Shaun for loving my mom like her own and taking care of her when she was home with us. That meant the world to me.
An Awesome honor to my son Dallas Leon Cook III for going to extra mile from moving in with her, to granny duty whenever asked to help take care of his grandma.
The family would like to say we are grateful for all the family and friends that sent refreshments, flowers, cards and the kindness and prayers during this time of loss.
A funeral service for Charlotte will be held Thursday, April 24, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Rose Hill Funeral Home & Burial Park, 3653 W Market St, Akron, Ohio 44333, followed by an entombment at 12:00 PM.
