Gail was born in Canandaigua, New York on May 27, 1953 and grew up on Seneca Lake, New York. She graduated from Romulus Central School in 1971 and attended SUNY Delhi where she graduated in 1973. Gail worked for Ohio Edison/First Energy for over 30 years, ending her career as a Purchasing Agent. Gail was an avid golfer, loved to read and go antiquing. Growing up she also loved to ride horses. Often, she would return to New York with her sons to visit family.
Gail was the daughter of Laurence and Edith (Griffiths) Dawson. Loving mother to David (Lindsay) and Michael Francesconi. Sister to Gretchen (Thomas) Dawson Jewell, Peter (Brenda) Dawson, and Susan Dawson. Grandmother to Dominic, Dawson, and Sloane Francesconi. Aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Memorial calling hours will be on Saturday, July 21, 2018 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Rose Hill Funeral Home 3653 W. Market Street, Akron, Ohio. Memories will be shared, followed by a small private graveside service.
