Frances “Fran” or “Frannie” was a lifelong resident of Akron, Ohio. The two things she loved most in life were family and God. She was a devoted church goer and choir singer with deep roots in the community. After having three beautiful children, she found eternal love with Norman Lawson with whom she shared 51 years. Together they traveled the globe as missionaries, sharing words of love and faith to those in China, Peru, and Mexico.
She also loved to play games with friends, and go shopping or to the movies with her three granddaughters.
During summer months, she enjoyed skiing and swimming with her family in Dandridge, TN and often found herself migrating south to Florida during winter months, where her youngest son lives.
Fran was a social butterfly, who loved to share a laugh, memory, or just simple “hey, I thought that was you” with people whose paths she’d crossed years before.
She is preceded in death by her husband Norman Lawson, brothers Jack (Norma) Bond, Jim Bond, Robert “Bud” (Azelene) Bond, son Bruce Williamson and son-in-law George (Cobey) Elmer.
She is survived by her daughter Cobey Elmer, son Frank Williamson, granddaughters Lea Elmer, Calli (Chris) Delgado, Nikki Elmer, great grandson Conrad Delgado, and many nieces and nephews whom she held dear.
A ceremony celebrating Frannie’s life and legacy will be held at Rose Hill Funeral Home. Friends and family may call from 11AM- Noon, Sunday, March 15th. The funeral service will begin at Noon in the funeral home chapel. Entombment in Rose Hill Burial Park
If you knew Frannie and aren’t able to make the ceremony, please enjoy a piece of Red Velvet cake or play a card game in her honor.
We encourage you to spend time with the ones you love, just as she would.
