Gilbert J. “Shorty” Bartlett, age 83, passed away July 9, 2011. He was the beloved husband of Ludowika for over 62 years. Gilbert was the dear father of Lilly Jean, Gilbert Michael (deceased), Thomas and Suzanne and was the loving grandfather of Stephanie, Christopher, Mike and Marie and great grandfather of 3. Gilbert was a proud Veteran of the United States Air Force.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 13th, 1 p.m. at the Catavolos Funeral Home, 3653 W. Market St., Fairlawn, where family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until services. Pastor Robert Tauscher from Concordia Lutheran Church will be officiating. Burial will be at Rose Hill Burial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made in Gilbert’s name to the Concordia Lutheran Church, 724 Sumner St., Akron, OH 44311.
