Judith Shellenberger (nee: Furry) age 77, of Akron, passed away November 9, 2014. She was the devoted wife for 55 years of the late Donald. Loving mother of Linda Gibson, Donna Kulcsar and Joyce (Scott) Aitken and proud grandmother of Ryan, Mitchell, Brent, Tyler, Matthew, Myles and Gavin and great-grandmother of Brent Jr.
Judith was a machinist at Spiral Brushes in Stow for many years. She enjoyed spending time with her family especially shopping, going out to eat and dancing with her daughters. Loved by all who knew her, Judith will be remembered as saying “go with the flow” keeping with her kind upbeat spirit.
Family will receive friends Wednesday November 12, from 4 -8pm at the CATAVOLOS FUNERAL HOME 3653 West Market St., Fairlawn; where funeral services will be held Thursday at 10am Reverend Lynn Driver will be officiating. Entombment will be at Rose Hill Burial Park at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in Judith’s name to Hospice of VNS 3358 Ridgewood Rd. Akron, OH 44333 or the Alzheimer’s Association of Summit County 70 W. Streetsboro St. Suite 201, Hudson, OH 44236.
