Michael W Wilcox

Michael W. Wilcox, age 49, of Norton, went home to be with the Lord, April 20, 2012, after a courageous battle with cancer. Michael was the devoted husband of Lisa (nee: Morris), loving father of Stephanie and Jessica Wilcox and proud grandfather of Ciara, Ja'Shauwn, Treven and Bryson.

Mike also leaves behind his mother Paulette Wilcox-Riggs, his sisters; Vanessa Laughlin, Kelly (Michael) Burgess, and Freda Story, his father in-law; Edward (Clara) Morris, and his mother in-law; Jean (Bill) Titz and many other dear family members and friends.

Born in Osceola, Arkansas and was raised in Flippin, Arkansas, Mike loved and was dedicated to his family; he enjoyed hunting, fishing, canoeing, camping, and spending time with friends and family. He had recently retired from the Carpenters Union Local #639. He was one to lend a hand and never expected anything in return.

Michael was preceded in death by his father James Wilcox and his twin daughters Amber Dawn and Freda Lynn.

Family will receive friends at the Catavolos Funeral Home 3653 W. Market St., Fairlawn, today, Wednesday, April 25, from 2-4 and 6-8pm, where funeral services will be held Thursday, April 26, at 12 noon. Services will be officiated by Pastor Robert Webb.

In lieu of flowers, donation envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
