She was born on August 13, 1926, in Clinton, Ohio. Mildred was a resident of Canal Fulton, Ohio.
"Millie" married her high school sweetheart George on March 18th, 1944. She lived in Portage Lakes with her husband where they raised 5 children. Her passions were sewing, crafting, and attending craft fairs under Millie's Country Mark. She was admired for her cooking, baking, and canning, being noted to making the best pies, butterhorns, and jellies. She is also remembered for her love of music, whether she was playing the organ, singing with her sister on the radio, or singing in the choir.
She was a member of the Lockwood Evangelical United Brethren Church and in the choir during their years in Portage, Lakes. They then attended Akron Chapel, where she was a member of the choir there as well. Millie and George moved to Hartville, Ohio where she cared for her husband with Parkinson's Disease for 12 years. After George's passing, Millie lived in Canal Fulton for a few years before entering Pebble Creek Nursing Home for her final years.
She was predeceased by her parents Samuel and Ethel Miller, her husband George Markovich, her sister Betty Stebbins, and many family members.
Mildred is survived by her daughter Maurine Griffith, who resides in Hartville, Ohio; her sons Gregory Markovich (Sue) of Mogadore, Ohio, Dan Markovich of Canal Fulton, Ohio, George J. Markovich (Gail) of Fort Mill, South Carolina, and Charles Markovich (Cyndi) of Uniontown, Ohio. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 15 great-great-grandchildren.
The family will be having a private memorial before her final rest at Rose Hill Burial Park.
