Ralph C. Baughman

Ralph graduated from Buchtel High School in 1952 and attended The University of Akron. He served in the U.S. Army being honorably discharged in 1962. He met his wife, Judy, on a blind date and they were married in 1959.

Ralph worked for RCA/GE as a television technician and telephone installer until retiring in 1991. He was the go-to-guy when a neighbor or relative needed a TV or other electronic device repaired.

He enjoyed helping Mom with their gardens, handing out tomatoes to the neighbors, keeping his lawn in perfect condition, cheering for his children in all their activities, and babysitting their grandchildren whenever needed. Everyone knew it was Ralph when he was out driving his bright yellow '75 Dodge Dart.

He also enjoyed traveling with Mom to Hawaii, Alaska, Germany, Ireland, and any other adventure that Mom could talk him into. He liked watching car races and, 'back in the day', roller derby and wrestling.

Ralph was preceded in death by his parents Earl and Emma (Beedle), his brother Dale, and in May of this year, his wife Julia "Judy" (Roelle). He is survived by sons Stephen and Robert (Deborah); daughters Linda Bader (Jeffrey) and Jennifer Orender (Charles); grandchildren Michael & Rachel Orender; Timothy, Emily, & Sarah Bader; Tyler, Elise, & Zachary Baughman; sisters-in-law Virginia Fendyan; Janet Sandmann; Armanda Roelle; and many nieces and nephews.
