

Georgia was born on January 17, 1923 to Maude (Fieber) and Aden Crackel in Browns, IL.
She married Thomas Mitchell on August 28, 1943 in Morehead, MN, and he preceded her in death on December 23, 2002.
Georgia attended beauty school, and following her graduation, was a hairdresser for many years. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Albion, Christian Women’s Fellowship, and a member of Delta Philanthropic Sorority for over 56 years.
Georgia is survived by her daughter Denise and husband John Duncan of Browns, IL, two grandchildren: Brandi and husband Jason Stennett, and Kris and wife Miranda Duncan, all of Albion, great grandchildren: Marcus Tyler Stennett, Mackenzie Paige Stennett, Jax Tanner Duncan and Jeter Kale Duncan. Georgia also enjoyed the company of her miniature Pomeranian “Tee Gee”.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son, Douglas “Doug” Mitchell, one sister, Kathleen Bunting and an infant brother, Aden Glen Crackel.
Funeral service for Georgia Mitchell will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, March 17, 2013 at Ingram Funeral Home in Albion, IL. Burial will follow at the Graceland Cemetery, Albion.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church of Albion or the Edwards County High School Baseball Program.
