Robert "Bob" McNair

Bob was born August 3, 1926 in Calhoun, Illinois to Rolla and Carrie (Poole) McNair. He married Lucille Miller on August 5, 1964 in West Salem, Illinois and she preceded him in death in 2013.

He was a farmer and a factory worker, and together, with Lucille, raised livestock and chickens on their farm. They moved into town in the mid 1990’s. Bob was an Army Veteran, serving during the Korean War, and was a member of the Albion Free Methodist Church.

Bob is survived by several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Lucille; one sister, Vera Hagood; two brothers: Paul and Rex McNair; one nephew, Marvin McNair; and one great-nephew, Walter Gene Butler, Jr.

Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, July 18, 2016 at Ingram Funeral Home in Albion. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will follow at West Village Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Albion Free Methodist Church or the VFW Flag Fund, to be used for the flag display on the Edwards County Courthouse Square. Envelopes will be provided at the funeral home.
