

Garcia, Agosta Victoria age 84 of Ypsilanti formerly of Albion, MI passed away Saturday, October 8, 2016 at Arbor Hospice under the loving care of her family. She was born September 5, 1932 in Brownsville, TX the daughter of Jose and Emilia (Doria) Flores. She married Alberto Garcia and he preceded her in death. Agosta was also preceded in death by a daughter Maria Leal and siblings: Simona, Elena, Jesus, Jose, Noe, Pedro and Guadalupe.
Agosta was born and raised in Brownsville, TX but she and her husband made their home in Albion and raised their family in Albion as well. She worked many years at Albion College and was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church. She also was employed later as a child care worker at Stone School in Ann Arbor. She loved music, dancing, singing, painting and flower gardening. She also enjoyed spending time with her family.
Agosta leaves to cherish her memory 3 daughters: Norma Garcia (Joyce) of Ypsilanti, MI, Victoria Snyder (Kenneth) of Albion, MI and Juanita Crown (Christopher) of Walpole, MA, son-in-law, Joemanuel Leal, 6 grandchildren: Elicia Leal, Matthew Crown, Cameron Crown, Rebekah Snyder, Isabel Snyder, Raymond Snyder, 2 great-grandchildren, Carmen and Lucas Delauter and 3 sisters: Maria Garcia, Carolina Hernandez, Anna Isabel Durrance all of Texas.
Visitation for Agosta will be held on Friday, October 14, 2016 from 5-8 PM with a Rosary service at 7:30PM at J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home, 811 Finley Dr., Albion, MI.
Funeral Service to be held Saturday, October 15, 2016 at 10:00 AM at St. John Catholic Church, 1020 Irwin Ave., Albion, MI with Father Joe Gray, Celebrant.
Interment will immediate follow the service at Albion Memory Gardens.
