

Alice June Bovia age 95 of Albion passed away Wednesday, January 4, 2023 in Jackson under the loving care of her family. She was born June 3, 1927 in Manistee County, MI the daughter of William and Cinnett (Cady) Wilbur.
Alice is preceded in death by her parents, 1st husband, Robert Knisley, 2nd husband, Alvie Shaw, Sr., 3rd husband, Garold Bovia son, Donald Knisley, grandson, Terry Knisley, siblings: Harold Wilbur, James Wilbur, Arlene Birchfield and Lloyd Kenyon.
Alice lived most of her life in Albion working many jobs throughout her life including serving as church secretary at her church. She was very artistic and creative and enjoyed sewing, loved gardening, cooking, working with acrylics in her younger years and most recently had taken up coloring in her adult coloring books. She also enjoyed attending church at the Assembly of God in Marshall.
Alice leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Dianna (Jim) Browning, son, Alvie (Marci) Shaw, Jr., brother, Dale (Sylvia) Wilbur, sister, Edith Bergstresser, daughter-in-law, Linda Knisley, 10 grandchildren and several great and great-great grandchildren as well as nieces, nephews and other extended family.
At this time, a private family interment is planned in Hunt Cemetery and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
