Anthony Demetrius Lewis II, age 31, of Albion, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, April 5, 2021 in Battle Creek, Michigan. Anthony (Tony, Lil’ Loc) was born August 23, 1989 to Karen Riley and Anthony (Loc) Lewis, Sr. in Albion, Michigan.
Anthony graduated from Albion Public Schools in 2007. He loved basketball and was able to play on his high school team. Most recently, Anthony was employed at the Haven of Rest Center in Battle Creek, Michigan. He was previously employed by Teneco in Marshall, Michigan. Anthony’s disposition and personality was loved by so many. If you were in his presence, he would always ask how you were doing and would give you a huge hug. He cared and loved his fur-brother, Shorty in equal measure. In his spare time, Anthony continued to enjoy playing basketball, watching all genres of movies and eating food; especially junk food. Family members loved that Lil’ Loc truly believed he could sing and dance. He would often put on concerts for his immediate family members who pretended to enjoy the performances which added to his delusion that he was a talented entertainer. Anthony was a true ‘family’ man. He adored and admired his aunts and uncles, embraced all cousins and had the most special bond with his mother. He also loved and cherished his luv-bug, Serenity. Nothing could keep him from fostering a special father-daughter bond with her. She was his pride and joy and purpose in life. In the past year, Lil’ Loc spent his spare time reconnecting with friends and family as a gesture of making amends and repairing relationships.
Anthony leaves to cherish his memory to his daughter, Serenity Lewis of Jackson, MI; father, Anthony Lewis, Sr. of Albion; grandmother, Margaret Riley of Albion; grandfather, Calvin Lewis of Albion; brothers, D’Vontae Lewis of Jackson, MI and Jalen Smith of Atlanta, GA; aunts, Brenda (Lee) Atchison of Parma, MI, Sharon Riley and Angela Lewis of Albion, Lisa Estelle and Jala Lewis of Jackson, MI; special aunt, Sierra Estelle of Jackson, MI; uncles, Charles Lewis (Regina Richardson) of Jackson, MI, and Len (Mary) Lewis of Mobile, AL; nephew, D’Vontae Lewis Jr. and niece, Taylor Lewis of Jackson, MI; special aunt, Hazel Lias of Albion as well as other relatives and a host of very special friends.
