Barbara A. McClain, 84 of Jackson, MI, passed away Sunday, June 30, 2013 at Jacqueline House Assisted Living in Cement City, MI. She was born November 11, 1928, in Johnstown, PA, the daughter of Lawrence and Florence (Barefoot) Kirschner. On September 4, 1947 in Wheeling, WV, she was united in marriage to Galen McClain, who preceded her in death in 2004.
She is survived by a son Michael (Gloria) McClain of Beacon, NY, 2 daughters, Pat (Steve) Chamberlain of Homer, MI and Kathy (Tony) Sexton of Ypsilanti, MI; 5 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; a brother, Thomas Kirschner of Gainesville, FL. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter Shirley McClain-Grosner and 2 sisters, Mary Hepner and Nancy Igo.
Cremation has taken place and interment will take place at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Johnstown, PA later this summer.
