Carolyn Sue Pressley

Carolyn Sue Pressley, born August 20, 1940, at the age of 84 went home to be with the Lord on April 8, 2025. Carolyn was born to Cal and Sarah Jackson in Anniston, Alabama. Years later in 1952 at the age of 12, moved to Albion, MI with her mother Sarah and stepfather Forrest Jackson. She attended and graduated Albion Public Schools to later become and employee working and serving as lunch attendant for Crowell and Harrington Elementary. Carolyn later retired from Jackson County Medical Care Facility after serving and training new hires as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Passions and hobbies of Carolyn were that she was an avid bowler, the town’s seamstress, and everybody’s Grama Tobbie and babysitter.

She leaves to cherish her memories by her former marriage to Alvin Pressley, 5 children: Teresa, Christine, and Wendell (Theresa) Pressley all of Albion, MI, Jacqueline Pressley of Jackson, MI, Alvin Pressley of Rancho Cucamonga, CA, Anthony (Kimberly) Jackson of Davison, MI, and Brandon Pressley. Grandchildren: Portia (Marcus),, Monica, Rhiki, Justin, Marcel, Alvin (Jasmine) Jr., Jaisha (Kelvin), Philip, Carlos, Lauren, Wendell Jr., and Alec. Great-grandchildren: Robert, Ramon, Montrell, Zion, Llyric, Naulege, Belief, Promise, Prodigy, Malik, Mya, Darren, Maliah, KJ, Kaison, Jaykup, Noah, Londyn, Ah’Kyng, Ah’mazin, Silas, and 12 Great-Great-grandchildren. Sisters: Mary (Dennis), Amanda, Sophronia, Julia (Leon), Wanda. Brothers: Terry, Forrest Jr., Leonard. Good family and friends are: Clarence, Jeanette, Jeanie Ray, Raydar, Ricky, Lois and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Proceeding in death are her parents Cal and Sarah, step-parents Lauree and Forrest, sister Mattie, brothers Charles, Samuel, Lee Floyd, and Cleveland, granddaughters Trinity and Micah.

In her transitional journey to the promise land, she will always be missed and loved.

A family hour for Carolyn will be held Wednesday, April 16, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Grace Temple Church of God in Christ, followed by a celebration of life at 12:00 PM.
