

Darrington Louis Eugene Lovelace, age 27 of Albion, MI made his transition to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 19, 2015 in Jackson., MI after a long battle with Cancer. He was born on February 16, 1988 in Kalamazoo, Michigan to Darren and Linda “Lynn” (Peterson) Lovelace. Darrington graduated from Albion High School with honors in 2006. He was a student in the Physical Therapy Assistant Program at Henry Ford Community College and was inducted into the schools National Honors Society. He was also was employed at Crystal Home Healthcare before becoming ill in 2011.
Darrington was a fun and loving person who was full of life. He enjoyed many hobbies including: Singing, dancing, acting, sewing, fashion, watching movies, listening to music and spending time with his family and friends. He was a member of Gethsemane Temple Church of God In Christ and later Faith Temple Word of Faith Ministries since childhood. Under spiritual guidance he learned about GOD and the importance of having faith and worshipping him. He participated in choir, praise team and the spiritual dance ministry “Spiritual Beginnings” which he co-founded with his sister Bariongiere. Dancing of all types seemed to free and liberate Darrington. Always giving 100% + he could grace a floor and make the most difficult moves seem easy. Spiritual Beginnings created dances so powerful that even after the duo retired they were remembered by many.
Darrington leaves to cherish his memory both of his parents, 2 grandmothers: Jewel Peterson and Zella Atwood; sisters: Jaquita Lovelace and Barongiere Lovelace; nieces and nephews: Zhyaire Brown, Laila Sims and Jaden Pettway; aunts: Gladys Seedorf, Regina Lovelace-Mastin; uncle: Pizarro Lovelace and a host of cousins and friends.
Darrington was preceded in death by both of his grandfathers, Louis Peterson and Eugene Lovelace.
His family will celebrate his life with a funeral service Friday, November 27, 2015 at Grace Temple Church of God In Christ, 711 Grace St., Albion, MI. Family hour will begin at 11:00 a.m. followed by service at 12 NOON with the Reverend John S. Walker of Faith Temple Word of Faith Ministries, Jackson, MI officiating. Burial will follow at Albion Memory Gardens.
