David T. Etchison

David T Etchison was born April 21, 1930 to Irene Hamilton & Robert Etchison in Chamblee, GA. He moved to Albion, MI in 1948 and was employed at Malleable Iron Works, he was drafted into the Korean War in 1952 and discharged under General Honorable Conditions with United Nations Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal & Korean Service Ribbon W/1 Bronze Campaign Star.

David Married Jacqueline Gail Brady December 25, 2003 to their union 3 children were born Danielle, Dave & Joy K Etchison and 3 fur babies Baby, Snooky & MeMe.

David married Florence “Poochie” Snyder November 5, 1955 and to their union 6 children were born Robin O, Kelly T, Darshann “Shannie”, Leah K, David H, Tina E. Etchison.

His hobbies were fishing, hunting, gardening and cruzing the streets to visit with his family and friends. He also boxed in the military.

David leaves to cherish his memory wife Jacqueline “Jackie”, son Robin (Kelli) Etchison of Lansing, MI, daughters Darshann (Bobby) Stevenson of Lansing, MI, Leah (Allen) Harris of Detroit, MI & Tina Etchison of Lansing. Sister Mary Alice (James) Hunter of Atlanta, GA, brother in law Aurther (Thelma “LeeLee”) Tyson, Florence “Poochie” Etchison-Truss. 12 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, a host of Nieces and Nephews, & Friend, Brenda Geiger.

David was preceded in death by his parents Irene & Robert, sister Mildred Sims, 6 brothers Charles “Chuck”, Robert, Horace, Harold & Travis.5 children Daughters Kelly T & Danielle, sons David H, Dave & Joy K Etchison.

Services will be held on Friday, September 1, 2023 at J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home. Family Hour will begin at 12:00PM with Funeral Service following at 1:00PM, located at 811 Finley Drive, Albion, MI 49224. "T" will be laid to rest at Riverside Cemetery Albion, MI following services.
