

Edith lived on “The Forty” until moving to Albion, Michigan at the age of eight. Edith married the love of her life Arley R. Bergstresser on October 28, 1950. They enjoyed a loving and committed relationship of 70 years until his death on March 19, 2020.
Edith was a homemaker when her children were small. She often worked during the holiday season to ensure the family had a memorable Christmas. Edith later worked at Eaton Corporation in Marshall, retiring in 1992.
After retirement, Edith and Arley enjoyed traveling and camping, especially up north in the Mesick, Michigan area where they made their annual trip to search for morel mushrooms.
Edith leaves to cherish her memory: son David (Patti) Bergstresser and daughter Julie Jordan, brother, Dale Wilbur, sister-in-law, Farie McMillen; 5 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews, and other extended family members.
Edith was preceded in death by her husband Arley R. Bergestresser, son Steven R. Bergstresser, son-in-law Kenneth Jordon, and parents; William Wilbur and Cinnett & Ralph Kenyon; siblings, James Wilbur, Harold Wilbur, Alice June Bovia, Arlene Birchfield, and Lloyd Kenyon.
Services for Edith will be held on Thursday, June 29, 2023, with visitation beginning at 12:30 PM and funeral service at 1:30 PM with Rev. Linda Stoddard officiating at J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home, 811 Finley Drive, Albion, MI. 49224. Burial will take place following the funeral service at Albion Memory Gardens.
