Elsie A. Pelton

Elsie A. Pelton, of Jamestown, NY, formerly of Jackson, passed away Monday, June 3, 2013 in Jamestown. She was born November 11, 1921 in Charlotte, MI, the daughter of Scott and Dana (Conklin) Halsey. In 1939, Elsie was united in marriage to Earl “Ike” Pelton, who preceded her in death in 2011.

Elsie was a member of Pilgrim Holiness Church and did missionary work in Paupua New Guinea. She was a scout leader, and enjoyed reading and flower gardening.

She is survived by a daughter, Linda (Edwin) Curtis of Parma; two sons, James Earl Pelton of Jackson and Ronald Dean (Jan) Pelton of Falconer, NY; 8 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Elsie was preceded in death by 8 brothers and sisters.

Family will receive friends Thursday, June 6, 5-8 PM and 10 AM on Friday, June 7 at J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home, 811 Finley Drive, Albion, MI 49224, where Funeral Services will be held at 11a.m on Friday with Rev. Martin Laramine officiating. Interment will follow at Spring Arbor Cemetery.
