Eric Brandon Rice

Eric Brandon Rice passed away at the age of 29 on Thursday, November 10th, 2022. Eric is survived by his mother, Karyn; his father, Scott; his brother Kyle and new sister Lexie; Papa Rich; Nanny Jeanne; and his grandfather Emerson (Suzi). He is preceded in death by his grandmother; Sharon.

Since birth, Eric faced many challenges. Born premature at 2 lbs 2 oz, Eric immediately became a fighter and continued to fight until his last breath. Eric did not let his disabilities stop him from finding a life full of love and joy. He graduated Doris Klaussen Developmental Center in June 2019 where he worked with physical therapy, learned sign language and daily chores. Eric had many hobbies and loved school buses, riding his bike, camping, his red truck, playing wheel of fortune, and flagging down any white van.

Eric loved to travel and visited the world. He loved Cancun, Mexico and was able to attend his brother’s wedding in January of this year. Eric loved visiting Poland, Cedar Point, and Disney World. He was blessed with the best parents and brother. Karyn, Scott and Kyle never looked at what he couldn’t do but what he could do.

As he aged his physical limitations grew but so did his spirit. Though he could not speak or walk he always got his point across. Eric did not need words to interact with others and express his love. To know Eric was to love Eric. He will be deeply missed by all.

Eric's family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday, November 15th from 4-8PM at J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home, 811 Finley Dr., Albion and 1 hour prior to his Celebration of Life Service on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 from 2:30PM until the service time at 3:30PM at First Baptist Church, 980 Haven Rd., Albion with Pastor Thomas Hollowood officiating.
