

He was raised on a farm in Stanwood, MI, served in the Civilian Conservation Corp (CCC) 1934-1936, and moved to Albion, MI in 1936 where he met Mary Kittinger. They were married in 1941, and moved to Homer in 1957. He worked for the Calhoun County Road Commission beginning 1956 from which he retired in 1981. He also worked for Folk Oil Company for several years part-time.
He is survived by his sons Robert, David (Chris), Richard, daughters Mary Lou (Don) Tracey, Marty Burris, grandchildren, Mike (Sharon) Miller, Karin (Bob) Elliott, John & Jessica Miller, Kerry Tracey, great grandchildren Matthew & Ashley Miller, Alexis Elliott.
He was predeceased by his wife Mary Miller in December 1997, brothers Ivan and Albin, sisters Leah and Emma Jane.
Visitation hours will be held on Thursday, August 22, 2013 from 10 – 11 a.m. followed by a short Memorial Service at J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home, 811 Finley Drive in Albion, MI. There will be a private burial service for the family only immediately following the service. Everyone is welcome to join the family to celebrate Glen’s life at a luncheon at the First Presbyterian Church in Homer, MI on Sophia St. at 12 noon.
