Grace Anice Mesler

Marshall. She was born in Grass Lake, MI July 26, 1921 to Harry Kimball and Minnie Hewes. She

Married Russell Mesler of Albion Feb. 5, 1942 and lived on Gibbs Road until the last eight years of her

life. He preceded her in death on May 15, 1998. Grace is survived by three children, Esther (George) Bradley of Jackson, MI, Merlin (Mary) Mesler of Marquette, MI, and Minnie (Terry) Short of Homer, MI. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Robert Bradley, Jennifer (Mesler) Gasche, Jessi (Mesler) Cooley, Amy (Short) Hall and Kevin Short, plus six great grandchildren. While the children were growing up Grace was a 4-H sewing leader and was an active member of the Ladies Aid at St. Paul Lutheran Church. Later in life she joined the Springport Senior Citizens and participated in a bowling league. Her passion was food and trying new recipes, so she always had a large vegetable garden and what could not be eaten fresh or given away was canned and frozen. She loved cats, observing nature and living in the country.

Visitation will be held Monday, June 17, 2013 from 5-7pm followed with Services at 7:15 pm at J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home, 208 Erie Street, Albion, MI. 49224 with Pastor David Trammel officiating.
