

The Journey of Jeremy Mitchell-Edmonds
A Time to be Born:
Jeremy La’Tron Mitchell-Edmonds, a beloved father, son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. Jeremy was born on June 4, 1982, in Albion, Michigan, to Bonnie Edmonds and Michael Mitchell, Jeremy lived a life of service, integrity, dedication, support, and love to all who encountered him.
A Time to Build:
Jeremy graduated from Albion Senior High School, shortly after high school, he went on to obtain his Criminal Justice degree from Olivet College. Jeremys ambition, focus and strong will was essential in him becoming the CEO and founder of Walking by Faith Hauling LLC. His faith walks, and determination propelled him to build this business in hopes of leaving a legacy for his son Ja’Zir and generational wealth for his family.
A Time to Sow Seeds:
Jeremy was a mentor to many, a BIG man with a kind heart, ready to support and help anyone in need, he was a gentle giant with an infectious smile that lit up the room, always ready to squeeze you while giving you his signature hug. Jeremy believed in the family unit, it goes without saying that spending time with family and friends was very important to him. Jeremy enjoyed hunting and was a diehard sports fan and loved supporting his son, brother and nephews in their extracurricular sporting activities, making sure he was always positioned in the bleachers where he was able to be heard and seen by all at their track meets, soccer, basketball and football games.
A Time to Love:
Jeremy's legacy will be carried on by his son Ja’Zir Edmonds. He is also survived by his Parents, two brothers, Ryan Edmonds and Justin Edmonds , and his sisters, NiQuitisha Edmonds (Kiki), Ni’Kisha Edmonds and Stephanie (Chris) Gamble, close friends John Coney, Franklin Schaudt, Daniel Clark, Samual Ford, and Gus Williams along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.
A Time to Weep:
He was preceded in death by his Grandmothers Melvin Edna Edmonds and Mary Lou Mitchell, Grandfathers Ted Lane and Floyd Mitchell, nephew Teddy Gamble and special cousin Chizuyo Garrett.
A Time to Reflect and Celebrate the life he lived:
Jeremy's life was shaped by his devotion to his family, his community and excelling at everything he set his mind to. His kind heart, strong work ethic, and deep love for his family and friends will never be forgotten.
Jeremy La’Tron Mitchell-Edmonds went to be with the Lord on April 5, 2025, at the age of 42. He has touched the lives of so many and he will be truly missed.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the Albion community & Taylor community, The staff of J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home, and all who offered their love, presence and support during this difficult time.
A visitation/viewing for Jeremy will be held Friday, April 18, 2025 from 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM at J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home, 811 Finley Dr, Albion, Michigan 49224. A graveside service will occur Saturday, April 19, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Albion Memory Gardens, 26905 B Drive South, Albion, Michigan 49224. A repast will take place following the graveside service at the Albion American Legion, 1230 Edwards St. Albion, MI 49224
