Jerry Eli Patterson

Jerry Eli Patterson, 75, of Albion, passed away Thursday October 25, 2012 at Allegiance Hospital in Jackson, Michigan. He was born April 6, 1937 in Cleveland, Arkansas to Theodore and Elnora (Wallace) Patterson. He was married to Robbie J. Langston November 26, 1996 in Albion, Michigan who survives and had previously been married to Luella Greer in 1956 and that marriage ended in divorce.

He has been a resident of the area for 70 years, since he was 5 years old. He had worked at Corning Glass Works, and he also worked for the Albion Vo-Ed as a Bus Driver. After leaving Corning, he went to work at Hayes-Albion as a machine operator, retiring in 1985. After retiring he went to work at Starr-Commonwealth as a Bus Driver. He was a member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church- Albion.

Besides his wife Robbie J. Patterson of Albion, he is survived by 5 Daughters Dawn Williams of Normal, IL; Patricia (Wayne) Patterson-Arnold, Tina (Delmer) Patterson- Blair, and Uneeda (Howard) Caldwell all of Albion; Paula (Maurice) Langston-Ware of North Carolina; 3 Sons Jerome Patterson of Ypsilanti, MI; Marcus (Lisa) Patterson of Battle Creek, MI and Andre Langston of Jackson; 16 Grandchildren; 20 Great Grandchildren; 1 Brother Ross (Grace) Patterson of Albion, MI. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 Brothers Isiah and Audrey Patterson.

Visitation for family and friends will be Tuesday October 30, 2012 from 12:00 (Noon) till 5:00 P.M. at the J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home, 811 Finley Drive, Albion, MI 49224. Funeral Services will be Wednesday October 31, 2012 at 12:00 (Noon) at the Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, 1010 Chauncey Street, Albion, MI 49224 with Rev. Charles E. MaGee officiating. Family Hour will be at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday October 31, 2012 at the Church. Burial will follow at Albion Memory Gardens-Albion, Twp, Michigan
