Laura Genevieve Davis

Her mother relocated the family to west side of Chicago, Illinois in her early years where she worked until her retirement and moved to Albion, Michigan.

Laura was totally dedicated, hardworking and loving daughter, sister, and mother, aunt to her family and friends who knew her. Laura knew the Lord and was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Albion. Laura leaves her legacy: sister, Mida Mhoon of Albion; children; Jeanella Kerber (Joseph) of Jacksonville, FL, Georgia Garcia of Chicago, IL, Rev. Franklin Owens Jr. (Jacqueline) of Arlington, TX, stepchildren from Chicago, IL; grandchildren; Dedrick Harris (Ethelina), Antwon Garcia (Trina), Patricia Westerhuis (Cornelius), Tyera Smith (Juan), Franklin Owens III, and Jada Owens; great-grand Children: Sebastian, Aniyah, Zion, Jacob, Joseph, Elijah, Jalissa, Jocelyn, Jewel, Aaron, Justice, Franklin IV, Dedrick, and Serene. Host of nieces, nephews, and friends that she loved dearly.

Special Family: Piper Lawrence of Chicago, IL., Keith Jones, John, Paulette, Morgan, Megan Gillis of Albion, MI., Richard, Sylvia Powell of Albion, MI., Edie Cathey, Loris Collins of Chicago, IL., Bethel Baptist Church family. Preceding Laura in life: husband; Robert Lee Davis. Father and Mother: Verne Lee Elliott, Imogene Elizabeth Straughter Elliott; sisters/brother: Doris Davis, Helen Lawrence, and Vern Lee Elliott Jr.

Cremation has taken place and a Memorial will be held Friday, October 14, 2022 at 11:00 a.m.
