Martha Rose Rowe (Hollon) age 64 of Olivet passed away on October 19, 2021 at home. She was born on October 25, 1956 in West Virginia the daughter of Rollie and Mossie (Ketchum) Hollon. Her parents preceded her in death along with sisters, Irene King, Betty Hall, Maryann Wright, Louise Hollon and brother, Tommy Hollon.
Martha was united in marriage to Danny Rowe on October 2, 1976 in Babcock, MI and he survives.
Martha was a mighty woman in a small package. She was employed for years at Dean Foods as a Forklift Driver and Tank Yard Supervisor and most recently retired from Tendercare in Marshall after years of dedication and hard work as a Nurse’s Aid. Martha was tough but she was also so loving and nurturing. She made sure no one ever went away from her hungry and provided so much hospitality to everyone around her. She absolutely loved spoiling her grandkids, loved reading romance novels and sewing. In her younger days, she was a very good pool player and participated on a league. She also loved racing; she and her husband, Dan met drag racing.
In addition to her loving husband of 45 years, Dan Rowe, Martha also leaves behind two children: Rebecca (Daniel) Hyden, Amanda (Jeffery) Davis; 4 grandchildren: Desiree, Lexie, Gavin, Hannah; sister, Pamela (Glen) Bentley.
In her death, Martha was able to give back by being an organ donor. She would have loved knowing that she was still caring for others. According to her wishes, she will be cremated and a Memorial Service to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, October 30, 2021 with visitation at 12PM until the time of service at 1PM at J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home, 811 Finley Dr., Albion.
In her memory, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, Make A Wish Foundation or the COPD Foundation. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
