Robert Cushman Peckham Jr.

Robert C. Peckham Jr., age81 of Albion passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at Magnum Health & Rehab of Albion. He was born in 1930 to Robert and Caroline Peckham Sr. in Jackson, Michigan. In 1950 he married Carolyn J. VanMeter who survives.

Robert worked for Union Steel for 30 years then with UNIFAB for 26 years. Robert was a member of the

V.F.W. Post #3672 of Albion, enjoyed sports, current events, watching his grandchildren play sports, doing

yard work, he had a great sense of humor and he was an all about people person.

Robert is survived by:

Wife- Carolyn Peckham of Albion

Son- Michael (Sheila) Peckham of Albion

(2) Grandchildren- Zachary and Ciara

Brother-in-law- Colly (Dorothy) Van Meter of Battle Creek

Several nieces and nephews

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Hollis Peckham and a sister Lillian Walker

By his request, Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation.

Graveside Service will be held Saturday, April 21, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. at Riverside Cemetery,

1301 S. Superior Street, Albion, Michigan 49224 with Pastor Lorraine Grinnell officiating.
