Steve was a man who knew the value of hard work, patience, and perseverance. He had a remarkable ability to fix just about anything—if it was broken, he’d find a way to make it right. That same steady determination defined how he lived and how he faced his illness, with strength and resilience.
Fishing was more than a hobby for Steve; it was where he found peace. Time spent by the water brought him comfort, reflection, and joy. Those who knew him best like to believe that he’s now where he was happiest—line cast, worries gone.
Steve is survived by his children, Jesi, Hope, and Leonard Jr., and by his significant other, Summer, who stood beside him with unwavering love and support.
He was preceded in death by his mother, father, brother, and nephews, whom he now joins.
Steve will be remembered for his strong hands, generous heart, and his ability to always figure things out. Though he will be deeply missed, his family finds comfort in knowing he is finally at peace—gone fishing.
