Brandon Michael Godfrey, age 28, of Alcoa, Tennessee, gained his angel wings on February 8, 2026. Brandon was a bright light to all who knew him. With an outgoing and friendly spirit, he never met a stranger and had a way of making everyone feel welcomed and valued. He lived life to the fullest, embracing each day with creativity, laughter, and love. Brandon had a servant’s heart and was always ready to help others, offering kindness, encouragement, and compassion wherever he could.
He was deeply artistic and full of imaginative ideas. Brandon loved singing and often filled his home with music. He found joy in cooking and sharing meals with those he loved, creating not only delicious dishes but lasting memories around the table. He loved traveling and spending time with his husband. His beloved pets, Ke$ha and Kringle, were constant companions and brought him immense happiness.
Brandon was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Raymond Devens and David Godfrey; and his uncles, Kevin Godfrey and Nicholas Devens.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his devoted husband, Travis Myers; his loving parents, Michael and Janet Godfrey; his brother Nicholas Godfrey and sister-in-law Kayelyn Godfrey; his grandmothers, Martha Godfrey and Philanda Devens; his mothers-in-law, Cathy Myers and Janie Myers; his father-in-law, John Myers; his brother-in-law, Alex Myers; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever hold him in their hearts.
Though his time on earth was far too short, Brandon’s life was full of meaning, color, and love. His warmth, creativity, and generous spirit will continue to shine through all who were blessed to know him.
The family welcomes friends to a Visitation on Sunday, February 15, 2026, from 3pm-5pm, at Faith Promise Church Blount Campus, with a Celebration of Life Service to follow at 5pm. The family is inviting guests to wear purple in remembrance of Brandon.
