
Quillin, Carrie Freeman- age 97 of Alcoa, was gently called home to her Heavenly Father on Saturday, October 8, 2011 with her adoring children each holding her hands. Carrie was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Carrie’s devoted children lovingly gave of themselves to provide her nearly constant care for almost three years. She was a member of Mountain View United Methodist Church. Originally from Tellico Plains, she was preceded in death by husband, Kenneth Warren Quillin; parents, Rev. James Wesley Freeman and Julie Prock Freeman, very close sister, Zonie Freeman Evans, and numerous other brothers and sisters. She is survived by: son, Robert W. Quillin and wife, Dr. Sandra E. Quillin; daughter, Faye E. Hacker, and husband, Dr. Robert A Hacker; grandchildren, Robert W. Quillin II (wife Jill), Tracey B. Quillin (wife Maira), David A. Quillin (wife Dr. Renee), Stephanie N. Hacker, Natalie M. Hacker, Nicolas D. Hacker; great-grandchildren Ross A. Quillin and Mary Lyn E. Quillin; sisters Mary Etta Quinley & Naomi Lane; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 at Sherwood Chapel on Alcoa Highway, Tuesday, October 11, 2011
followed by a celebration of life at 11:00 am. with Rev. Al Shaver officiating. Interment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. Condolences may be offered at www. sherwoodchapel.net.
