Evans G.T 67 of Knoxville went to be with the Lord after a long time of suffering, Saturday July 23, 2011. G.t was of the Baptist faith and loved racing with his son, Brian. He was preceded in death by parents, daughter, brother and sister. He is survived by wife of 43 years, Carol Evans; grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Tuesday July 26, 2011 at Berry Funeral Home on Chapman Hwy from 6-8 p.m. Funeral service will be conducted Wednesday July 27, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Sherwood Chapel and Memorial Gardens Mausoleum with Rev. Linda Parton officiating.
