James Robert Harmon, age 88, of Maryville, went to be with his Lord and Savior on October 4, 2015, at his home. He retired from Alcoa and was a Ham radio operator (WA4HQP). He was a World War II veteran stationed in Greenland. He was a beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Nora Harmon; siblings, Christine Graves, Irene Shipley, Bernice Ryan, Bernie Harmon, Vaughn Harmon, and Frank Harmon; and wife, Frances Woody Harmon. He is survived by his sons, Mel (Melba) Harmon, and Mike (Debby) Harmon; stepson Ronnie (Dot) Keeble; grandchildren, Alicia Clark, Natalie McAmis, Heather Anderson, Lisa Haven, and Mike Keeble; 11 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 7, 2015, from 10-11 AM in the Mausoleum Chapel of Sherwood Memorial Gardens, with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 AM.
