Norma Jean Miller

4 marzo , 193221 diciembre , 2019

Norma Jean (Patton) Miller, age 87, was undoubtedly welcomed into the kingdom of Heaven on December 21, 2019. Born on March 4, 1932 in Water Valley, Mississippi and raised in Memphis, Tennessee, Norma was surrounded by her wonderful family. Norma met the love of her life, John Howard Miller, while in Memphis and they wed and raised a family of their own, ensuring our great Lord was integral in each of their lives. Norma was able to provide endless love and crucial life lessons for their children and considered herself fortunate to see them mature and flourish.

Norma's incredible selfless journey through life took her to several residences throughout her near 69 years of marriage including Cortez, Colorado; Manitowoc, Wisconsin; White House, Tennessee; Tarpon Springs, Florida; and Seymour/Maryville, Tennessee.

Norma is survived by her loving husband John Howard Miller, brother Billy Ray Patton, sisters Chet Pitts and Betty Barnett; daughter Carol McCorkle and husband Donald, sons Johnny Ray Miller; Tommy Miller and wife Sue; grandson Johnny Ray Miller, Jr; son-in-law Kevin Stone and fiancé Kathleen; grandchildren Michelle Miller, Blake Miller, Sherry Salazar; Seth Miller, Anna Zyla, Korey Miller, and Kelly Miller and numerous nieces and nephews and great grandchildren.

Norma Jean was a member of Eastside Church of Christ in Maryville, Tennessee.

A celebration of Norma's remarkable life will be held later in the new year.

One of my favorite memories is when you’d scoops us up and say, “bless your little heart!” Sometimes I still say that to people in my very best southern accent :) merry christmas, nana! I love you.
