Sherrie Elaine McCroskey

Sherrie Elaine (Cooper) McCroskey, age 68, of Maryville, Tennessee passed away on Friday, March 31, 2023. She was a longtime member of Hillcrest Baptist Church, where she served in the children's ministry and always enjoyed her time in the Women's Auxiliary. Sherrie enjoyed spending time with her family, shopping, camping, and going on family vacations. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and mamaw. Sherrie taught elementary education for over 30 years at Blount County Schools.

Preceded in death by her parents, Willard and Bernice Cooper.

She leaves behind her loving husband of 51 years, John (Jady) McCroskey; sons, Darrell (Missy) McCroskey and Dennis (Sarah) McCroskey; grandchildren: Johnathan (Madialynne), Miranda, Josy, Braden, Seth, Melee, and Elijah; great-grandchildren: Jacob and Peyton; and very special cousin, Kathy Lay.

Family will receive friends from 12:00 - 2:00 PM Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at Sherwood Chapel, with a funeral service to follow at 2:00 PM. Interment to follow at 3:00 PM at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hillcrest Baptist Church Women's Auxiliary, or the Gideon's of Knoxville.
