She was very proud of the fact that at 92 she was still able to get out for a mile long walk before breakfast.
She started painting after her children had left home. She became proficient through classes and working with art groups and has left us all some beautiful landscapes.
As a skilled seamstress, she made Lynn’s wedding dress, numerous skating costumes for Glenda and Halloween costumes and doll clothes for the grandchildren.
On any sunny day Pat would be out in her garden, weeding, trimming the roses and keeping an eye on her tomatoes. In the spring she could be found in the back garden showing off her giant peonies to the neighbours.
She was a great baker who always showed up for family gatherings with tubs of cookies and cakes. At Christmas we all anticipated her butter tarts and famous peppermint patties and of course her cinnamon buns were a staple for family weekends together.
Above all this she was first a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Everything she did was filled with love. Her greatest joy was being around family and friends.
Please join us in celebrating her life on April 11th @ 2:00pm at Trinity Lutheran Church, 3845 Gladwin Road, Abbotsford and afterwards for refreshments at the Clubhouse 32615 Murray Avenue, Abbotsford.
