Amanda Louise Toews

It is with much sadness in our hearts that we announce the passing of Amanda Louise Toews (nee Rink). Amanda arrived into this world on April 5, 1975 and departed September 4, 2015. She leaves behind her beautiful Daughter Nevada, Father Ward (Susan), Mother Wendy, Grandmother Theresa, Nevada’s Father Richard Toews, Aunts Cathy, Janice and Elenor, Uncles Maury and Duncan and several cousins, nieces, nephews, and siblings. During Amanda’s early life she had some wonderful step-Mom’s to guide her, Jeannie and Nancy. Amanda kept in touch with her extended families throughout her life. Amanda lived with her Dad in several places within BC and AB, notably Maple Ridge, Stave Falls, Vernon and Osoyoos. She graduated with the “KD Gang” from Osoyoos Secondary School in 1994. The highlight of Amanda’s life was the birth of her daughter, Tarlyn Nevada in 2008 whom she loved fiercely and always looked forward to their playtimes together. Amanda’s other love was her animals of which she had too numerous to list. We will all miss Amanda’s great sense of humour, love of the outdoors and adventure whether it be a hot afternoon playing on Osoyoos Lake, spending time with friends at Stave Lake or summer vacations with her cousins and grandmother when she was young. Amanda, you are a bright and shining star that left us far too soon. Amanda’s Celebration of Life will be announced shortly with gatherings to be held in Osoyoos and the Lower Mainland. In lieu of flowers a donation can be made to your local SPCA in Amanda’s name or other charity of your choosing.
