One of the singular characteristics of Gloria was her ability to gently, carefully rotate the prism through which I viewed the world, showing me another viewpoint, another possibility, opening a new window with an outward gaze of hope, charitableness, kindness.  She would pull me along; I the feral animal curled in some primitive emotional funk. This constant charitableness, this constant kindness she extended to all, even to those who were uncharitable to her, to those operating on a low spiritual plane. Now that she is gone, I have to learn to adjust the prism myself; I will try, Gloria, to do this.

This was the last photo of the five of us together. Every time we got together, we would always take a photo because our relationship as siblings was a bond to be captured and remembered! ❤️
This is Raymond, Carolyn, Steve, Colleen and Gloria. 
I will remember all the good times and all the crazy laughter we would have when we got together.  I have many friends that are in awe of the special relationship that we share and how close we all are. 
I have so many memories of the times you and I shared together, including dressing up for Let’s Make a Deal!  The treasure hunting and gold panning that we did with our husbands. The love of our Chihuahuas (inspired by Little ❤️).  The road trips to Merritt to see our favourite country singers 🎶, our siblings road trip to Fruitvale and our big family reunion which would not have been such a success without you making sure there was enough food (as that is one of your loving trademarks)! ❤️
I will miss you forever, my big sister, but I know I will see you again 🙏

How do you say goodbye to someone who made your world brighter simply by being in it? Someone whose presence could light up even the darkest room, just by walking through the door? 
The truth is you don’t-because words could never be enough.  
Instead, you hold on. You gather up the memories and you carry them with you. You treasure the gift and the blessing of a friendship that spanned nearly 38 years. 
Oh how I will miss you, my friend—more than words could ever hope to express. But I know that one day, the pain will ease, and in its place will be warmth… the warmth that comes from remembering you and from feeling grateful for the gift of your friendship.
Until we meet again, rest peacefully, my dear friend. Save me a place on that couch—we’ll have so much to catch up on and so many more laughs to share.

A visit, tea and the fire pit. I loved our visits. They were always full of music, Scrabble and yard work. Mom always wanted to help with whatever projects we had on the go.

Cindy (Corey & girls), Michelle (Adam & girls), and Rick - my deepest, heartfelt condolences to you all on this immense loss. I wish hugs & tears could help take away your pain.  Sending love and light. See you on the 11th.

Gloria and I shared 65 years of memories together - I still can’t believe she is gone but she will remain in my heart and mind forever.  The stained glass butterfly she made for me years ago is a constant memory of her.

Cindy, Michelle and family...I am so sorry for the loss you are feeling right now.  Gloria was  one of a kind. She was generous, welcoming, and had a soft spot for our 4 footed furry friends.  Even though life happened and circumstances  changed, we have always considered her part of our family.  I am so glad that we got a chance to have a few visits with her and Rick recently.   She will be greatly missed.
