It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother Hazel Ruth June Quadling (Keeping) on January 21st, 2026. She passed away peacefully leaving a life well lived and was deeply cherished by her family. She was born in Abbotsford and spent her early years on Vancouver Island. She met the love of her life Ralph and after a short courtship she moved to Abbotsford where she worked alongside her husband on the family dairy farm, Longacres Jersey Farms, for many years. They were active in the Jersey Association. On the farm they raised four children, Carolynn (Glen), Debbie (George), Phil (Vicki) and Ralph (Kimber).
Mom was a fabulous cook, baker and gardener. Her favorite place was outside amongst the flowers and birds in the summer. She enjoyed reading and cross stitching in her later years. Mom enjoyed her world travels and fishing up at Bridge Lake with her beloved husband at her side.
Mom loved a good joke, entertained many friends and family over the years at her table. She always had coffee ready for those who stopped by and always served a slice of cake or a cookie she had baked that morning.
Love and family was the center of her life. Her many grandchildren and great grandchildren enjoyed her time, kindness and loving nature.
She was predeceased by her husband, Ralph and has two surviving brothers, Gerald and Dan.
A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
Mom, we will miss you deeply. Lots of love your family.
Mom was generous in her financial support of her chosen charities Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of Canada and the Alzheimer’s Foundation of Canada.
