Mr. Burgess was a Navy veteran and served during the Korean War. He was of the Baptist faith and in years past had been a member of Temple Baptist Church in Little Rock and later of Otter Creek First Baptist Church.
Mr. Burgess was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Marjorie “Mickey” Burgess and a son-in-law Greg Moffett. He is survived by daughters Karen (Rick) Petty, and Lisa (Jay) Lea both of Benton and by six grandchildren and two great-grand-children with two more expected in the coming months.
The family would like to thank his many caregivers over the years at Fox Ridge – Bryant, Evergreen Living Center, and his hospice caregivers who helped him so much at the end.
