Billy Wayne Coon Sr.

Billy was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He had a big heart for children and animals. Billy was always helping children in need and helping coach youth sports. He had a passion for animals, especially dogs. He made sure that all his dogs were well taken care of. He worked for many years in the mail room at the Arkansas Teacher Retirement Systems.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 55 years, Wanda Coon; sons: Billy W. Coon, Jr. and Jon L. (Crystal) Coon; granddaughter, Kayla (Pake) Sutton; great grandson, Stetson Sutton; and siblings: Myrle Pierce, Theresa Thornton, and Steve Coon.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Conway and Effie Coon; and siblings: Joel Coon, Donald Coon, Clois Coon, Conrad Coon, and Joyce Quillin.

Visitation will be held Saturday, April 1, 2023 at 11:00 am at Pinecrest Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held Saturday, April 1, 2023 at 12:00 pm at Pinecrest Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to an animal rescue of your choice or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
