

Breaker 1-9! Buddy Lewis Bascue spent over twenty years in trucking, driving coast to coast, covering all of the United States, Mexico and Canada. He made his final dispatch on May 22, 2024 and reached his destination in Heaven safe and on time. Buddy was an award winning truck driver who covered over three million miles hauling everything one could carry on a truck. He even drove a dump truck during the last few years of his career.
Born in a covered wagon on the banks of the Arkansas River in England, Arkansas on April 4, 1939 to the late John Bascue and Milly Josephine Harrison, Buddy joined the Air Force at the age of seventeen. He then married the late Shirley Bascue Standridge and had three children: Cherie Bascue, Janet Gephart and Charonda Standridge. Buddy is now married to Joyce Bascue for the last nineteen years. He loved hunting, fishing, playing pool; and he adored his little dogs, Gracie and Dottie. He was a member of Henderson United Methodist Church. Buddy is survived by his three children, eight grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren.
A visitation for Buddy will be held Friday, May 31, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Pinecrest Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 7401 Highway 5 N, Alexander, Arkansas 72002, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM. Buddy will be laid to rest at a later date at Pisgah Cemetery in Pottsville, Arkansas
