Carole Faye Wilson Stringer, age 81, of Bryant, Arkansas passed from this life June 23, 2021, in Heber Springs, Arkansas. She was born June 8, 1940 to Wendell Wilson and Nancy Shelton Wilson in Hopkinsville, Kentucky.
Carole was a devoted Christian attending Arch Street Church of Christ and Fairview Church of Christ faithfully until her health failed.
Carole met her husband, Buck, while he was enlisted in the Army at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. They married October 23, 1959, 3 days after he was honorably discharged. They moved to East Texas where Buck was raised. They have four children: Daniel, Amy, Ellen, and Jason.
Carole was a loving daughter, sister, wife, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. Her main goal in life was to be a grandma! She was a homemaker primarily when her children were young. She was an excellent seamstress sewing most of her and her daughters' dresses. She enjoyed crafts and learned knitting, crocheting, embroidery, stenciling, flower arranging, and calligraphy. She was a good cook known for her deviled eggs and many other dishes including sweets and casseroles. She learned cake decorating and made birthday cakes and shower cakes for family and friends. Carole enjoyed writing poetry and several of her poems were printed in the Benton Courier's poetry page. She enjoyed "bargain hunting" and decorating her home, giving particular care to her flower garden. She had several jobs through the years and especially enjoyed being a substitute teacher and daycare worker. She loved children and her goal of being a grandma was met 16 times and a great-grandma 8 times. This was one of the biggest joys of her life.
Carole was a devoted wife to Buck making a happy life filled with music, laughter, and tears for 61 years. They both strove to serve God and raise their children in the Lord. They were both active in their service to the church and their spiritual family. It was their top priority in their daily life. It made their marriage truly successful and faithful.
Carole is preceded in death by her husband Orland Wayne "Buck" Stringer; her parents, Wendell and Nancy Wilson; her brothers, Paul Ray Wilson and Phillip Wilson; and her daughter-in-law, Lisa House Stringer.
