
Charlie was born in Little Rock on Sept 7 1939. He graduated from Central High School in Little Rock and later joined the United States Army and was Shipped out on the USS Toledo where he learned to become a Welder and continued on with his trade. He was very creative with his welding skills. Charlie passed on his Creative welding skills of Art and Design to his Son Robbie Collie who has now passed it on to the 3rd generation welder, Grandson Hunter Collie.
Charlie was married to Pat for 27 years and later divorced. They had 4 children that he was very proud and happy to spend time with along with many grandchildren.
Charlie worked as a Little Rock Fireman for many years after Serving his time in the Navy and continued on as a Welder by Trade. He enjoyed Hunting, Fishing and creating welding art and spending time with his Children and Grandchildren.
Charlie is survived by His Brother Jay Collie and 2 Sisters Jeannie Rousse and Cindy Claussen, 4 Children Robbie Collie and his wife Laura of Ward Ar., Vickie Collie of Hot Springs, Tammy Hanner and her Husband Chris of Bryant Ar., Amanda Buckingham of Tulsa Oklahoma. Grandchildren Samantha Hooper of Beebe, Hunter Collie of Beebe, Quintin Brown of Bryant, Mikayla Komm of Bryant, Spencer and Max Hanner of Bryant, Gracie Buckingham of Tulsa and 2 Great Grandchildren Sam and Jake Hooper of Beebe and many Nieces and Nephews.
Charlie is preceded in death by His Father Earl Collie, Mother Edwina Smith, Sister Barbara Thompson and Beverly McCluskey
Charlie will always be remembered by his friendly smile and funny sense of humor.
