Delbert R. Ring, 80, of Little Rock passed away Monday, May 25, 2021. Born October 22, 1940 in Evening Shade, Arkansas, he was the son of the late Otho and Wanda Ring. Del is survived by his devoted wife of 57 years, Sandra Kaye Goodrich Ring; two sons, Chris Ring (Lisa), Mark Ring Sr. (Tammy); three grandsons, Mark Ring Jr. (Abby), Austin Ring (Taylor), Heath Ring (Katie); granddaughter, Rebecca Ring; Shelby Stewart, Kramer Stewart; and great-grandchildren, Bray, Acen and Ollie Ring, Linley Ring, Tate Caipen, Luna James Stewart and Miles Carter Ring due in late October. Other survivors include his brother, Jim Ring (Linda) and LaGail Branham (Paul) and their families.
Del and Sandra owned and operated First United Postal, later All Type Printing Company, for over 37 years in the Little Rock area. Del also enjoyed many years as a cattle rancher on the 700+ acres of land he and Sandra owned on the Saline River. Countless hours of hard work, blood, sweat and tears were poured into “The Farm” he loved so dearly. Watching his sons ride their Kawasaki motorcycles from sunrise to sunset, teaching his grandchildren to hunt, fish, swim and ride their bicycles, and growing fresh vegetables, zinnias and sunflowers to make Sandra smile were some of his greatest pleasures. Working the land and mentoring his oldest grandson, Andrew Joseph Ring who preceded him in death in 2013, always held a special place in Del’s heart. Also, special thanks to Angela Williams for the devotion and special care given to Sandra and Del through recent years.
Visitation will be held Friday, May 28 at 1:30 p.m. followed by 2:30 p.m. funeral and burial services at Pincecrest Funeral Home and Memorial Park.
