Dwight was a graduate of Benton High School where he played football. Dwight spent most of his career as an owner operator driver and construction equipment operator. His dependability along with his driving, operating, and mechanical skill made him a favorite of the owners and contractors that he worked for. Besides his passion for trucks and equipment, he loved playing golf and hanging out with his long-time buddies that he grew up with.
Dwight is survived by his nephew, J.J. and his wife, Renae; and 4 great nieces and nephews, Taylor, Andrew, Alexa, and Ryan Hickey of Walker, Louisiana.
He is preceded in death by his brother Glenn and his parents, Lynn and Helen Hickey.
A graveside service will be held on February 9, 2026, at 10:00AM at Pinecrest Memorial Park.
