Glen Dale was born on January 29th, 1940, in Belleville, Arkansas. He was the oldest of six kids born to Glen Thomas and Virgie Estelle (Limbocker) Farnsworth.
Glen Dale never met a stranger; he spoke to everyone. He formed friendships in the line at WalMart, the grocery store, and even the pharmacy. He loved his shopping trips to his favorite store Tractor Supply and could always find something he needed. Known for his big smile, big laugh and most importantly his big heart. He loved to talk about his garden, and his "maters and okree". He was most comfortable in his overalls and on his tractor. One of his most favorite places to work was the cabin. He bush hogged the acres for many years on his tractor always reflecting on how much he loved that piece of land. He welcomed everyone to enjoy the cabin with him. He loved all the hunting seasons over the years spent with his parents, family, and friends in Cornerville, Arkansas.
Glen Dale was a hard- working and dedicated family man that followed in his father's footsteps as a carpenter. He was a master carpenter for many years and highly respected in the construction world, where he was a member of The Carpenter’s Local #690.
Glen Dale met and married the love of his life, JoAnn Cross. On JoAnn’s 17th birthday they married in Belleville, Arkansas. Their life together has been an example to us all.
A kind and generous man, Glen Dale is survived by his wife JoAnn of 65 years, and son Andy (Becky) of Jefferson, Arkansas. Three grandsons, Zach Farnsworth (Jade), Cody Farnsworth (Kayla) and Tyler Farnsworth (Jordan) and six great-grandchildren, Kaylin Jo, Darcy, Cooper, Ryder, River, and Knox Farnsworth, all of Jefferson, Arkansas. Three brothers, Bill (Patricia) of Bryant, Arkansas, Johnny of Forney, Texas, James (Jackie) of Center Ridge, Arkansas and sister, Yvonne (Phil) English of Rockwall, Texas. Known as Uncle Glen to a whole host of nieces, nephews and friends from all over.
Predeceased by his parents, sister Peggy Farnsworth and his daughter Debra Lavonne.
Born with a strong spirit and a tender heart, Glen Dale lived each day with purpose and humility. His faith was not just something he spoke about; it was how he lived. He often reminded his family that this world was not his home. When that day came, God answered every detail we prayed for, he took his final breath surrounded by family and passed peacefully. Absent from the body, is to be present with the Lord.
